A while ago I visited a friend of mine because he wanted to show me something. So I get to his house, he fires up his computer, and then he starts clicking and clicking and clicking. Since you are the only one who knows the password, you’ll be the only one who can access that folder.

The program has a familiar installer, just like other Windows programs, so it's very easy to install even by beginners. Any version of Microsoft Windows can be used for running this application.

The interface is wizard based and it guides the user step by step through the process of protecting a folder with a password. The first thing one has to do is selecting the desired folder he wants to protect. It can be any type of folder and it can contain an unlimited number of sub-folders. Folder Password Expert can protect them all. After choosing the desired folder, all that's left to do is setting a password and that's it. The folder will be secured and no one will be able to access it without the right password.

Deleting the program won't make the protected folders accessible, as they will be transformed in encrypted files until the program is re-installed.

Pros:
It has a simple wizard-based interface that can be used even by beginners. Besides that, it can protect any type of folder with a password, keeping them secure even if the application is removed.

Cons:
Protected folders cannot be unlocked without this application.
